Sondra was originally a scientist of questionable ethics, as she performed genetic experiments with results so depraved her employers fired her once they found out, and her specimens were mercifully put down.
With her life and work ruined, Sondra considered committing suicide when she was met by Aleister Vi, who recruited her for her expertise in genetics.

Sondra is shown to be very devoted to Aleister and his cause, refusing to go against him even when he went too far and threatened to kill a pregnant woman to get what he wanted. She was obsessed with her pain. So much, Elena managed to coerce her into revealing Aleister's plans by threatening to make her swallow morphine while she was going through her first change.

Sondra and Aleister were lovers. Sondra showed true devotion to Aleister's cause and injected herself with Elena's blood to turn into a werewolf, all to please him and be used by him. Unfortunately, the transformation made her lose her mind and Aleister found no use to her anymore. He killed her, but showed sadness while doing it, proving that maybe he did love her too.
